yes i suppose its not really crucial to have the gripper ? . i suppose ive done it so the knife is relatively safe and accessable for frequent use , without having to keep fastening and unfastening the press stud of the strap . the copper also holds the leather around the cross guard so the knife fits snugly
he got his leather from a japanese salesman . so not? very helpful for you . but its 4mm tanned saddle leather . i,ve tried sending a picture of one of his knives to your account
If you position the grip strap? close enough to the hand guard, it eliminates the need for the gripper.

Frequent access is useful if it’s a work knife, which I saw? that you told someone it is.
Idea of metal in sheath is bad. Will leave a lot of scraches on blade. SO if it shiny, U will get a lot of scraches.. Otherwise gr8 build!!?
yes if you like a shiny blade ,? i wouldnt recommend the copper gripper . this is a work knife so its gonna get scratched to bits
dude your videos r awesome i can’t believe? you make those! I also enjoy your knife making video
